A story of
compassion in action
For over four decades, Imdaad has walked alongside families in Kashmir—with dignity, integrity, and a belief that charity should never bruise the soul.
Chapter one
The Beginning
It was 1977. Economic hardship had gripped Srinagar. Behind closed doors—too proud to beg, yet unable to feed their children—families suffered in silence.
Our founder, the late Dr. A. Rahman, could not look away. He gathered a small collective of concerned citizens. What began as a monthly ration drive for 10 families has grown into a structured organization supporting thousands across the valley. One bag of flour became a movement.
